Aromatherapy helps in soothing the mind and the body muscles. They hence help in relaxation of the body and reducing anxiety and stress. The essential oils used in aromatherapy provide psychological benefits. Meditation and pranayam, a yoga exercise, help in combating insomnia and other sleep problems. It also helps in enhancing concentration of an individual. Shiatsu is another type of alternative therapy which is a combination of other therapies such as massage, physiotherapy, acupressure, osteopathy, lymphatic drainage and many more. This technique is beneficial in reducing stress, fatigue, blood pressure and muscle stiffness. It initiates blood circulation in the lymph and enhances vitality, strength, stamina and energy.
