It is a permanent physical condition that affects birth. It refers to a group of disorders that affect the posture and also causing limitations in the activity. There are approximately 2 to 2.5 births every thousand cases found in the developed countries. A very few causes are known to the affect the people by the disorders. Cerebral palsy is a non- progressive disorder. There is no cure to it.
But a good guidance from the experts and help from the various institutions could help the cerebral palsy affected people live a better and happy life.

There are various Cerebral Palsy Associations in action all over the world. The main aim of these people is the same; "Helping the CP affected people". These institutions include the members such as physicians, social workers, speech related teachers, psychiatrists and many more who willingly work to help for the development of these patients. There are also the agencies which sponsor the research which is directly relevant to the prevention of cerebral palsy. This helps in improving the quality of the life of the people affected with the deadly disorder. In its studies, these institutions also focus on the effects of maternal infection on the developing brain of the child. Improvement on the movements, speech, postures, communications and many more causes are also being studied and brought into action.
These institutions not only help the people living with their families, but also the ones that are rejected by the society. They are provided with good food, shelter and effective and efficient aids for their well being. The clinical and other facilities are either given free or at a low cost to these people. These institutions also help to spread a social awareness among common people. General school trips to the homes of these people are conducted and educational programs about cerebral palsy are carried out. This helps in spreading the message for accepting these people as they are not someone to be neglected. These institutions are in need of funds as well as of the people who are ready to work willingly for a good cause. The workers are given a proper training so that the classes could be carried out effectively.
These institutions are mostly government run. But helping these people and the institutions is the responsibility of the entire society.
