The disorder could also happen because of accidents and vascular problems of heart. CP as it is also called is a non-progressive disease and cannot be cured. The term cerebral refers to the two hemispheres of the brain and palsy refers to the deadly disorder that affects the muscle co-ordination and
speech of the person.

About the Foundation: -

There are many foundations on cerebral palsy formed all over the world. The main aim of these foundations is the same; helping and rehabilitation of these people affected with CP to lead a better and a progressive life. These foundations raise self-awareness and acceptance of disability amongst the normal people and also the people affected with the deadly disorder. One more mission of these foundations is permanent and continuous funding to support itself and other associations also. These organizations perform the activities like family support, adult advocacy, supported employment to the people needing money and counseling to the families and many more activities that are related to a particular foundation in that region.

The foundations are dedicated to helping people with disabilities live as independently as they can. They normally help themselves to achieve these goals by organizing the some supported living programs for these people. People living in situations that could not allow them the chances to lead a better life have come and lead their lives, the way they want, happily. Also the employees such as doctors, teachers and speech related experts, physicians and psychiatrists to name a few that are supported by the foundation make meaningful contributions to the community. These people are given proper training before their job actually starts. In this way these foundations not only help to reduce the employment but also restore the quality of treatment. The patients in these foundations are either given a free medical advice or some concession on it.

The only thing these foundations need is good support from the government and common people. So it is our responsibility to see that even we contribute something towards it. Your help could certainly prove to be beneficial to these organizations in changing the lives of CP affected people.
