Flea markets are, in this case, one of best ways to snag a good deal for much, much less.

pretty table or sofa for a fraction of its original price and still in great condition. Here are some tips for you to consider while shopping for furniture at flea markets.
1. Know where the good flea markets are. Look up newspapers for latest advertisements and drive around known flea market corners in your community for a look at what furniture is available. Sometimes there are flea markets around you just under your nose that you dont know about because frankly speaking not too many people are flea market freaks.
Note these areas and drop by them once in a while taking close not of available items, and advertised prices.
2. Know your needs. Please, by all means, avoid charging into just any flea market to buy what may seem a great steal only to realize that you really didnt need that piece anyway. Consider first your needs before diving headlong into a buying frenzy.
Some people go to flea markets to get an idea on how to improve their furnishings. This works too. But at least you have to have an idea on what you want.
3. Haggle Dont forget to haggle if possible. You will probably be able to get stuff for a lower price if you know how to work the seller. You can get buffer your case for a discount if you decide to buy in bulk, meaning you buy multiple items. Most sellers salivate at this prospect. Work this to your advantage.
Compare prices among markets to see which price fits you best.
4. Check for the quality. Not all items sold at flea markets are in tip top shape. Check items very carefully noting damage and repaired areas. If you notice some major stains or damage, it would be better to leave the item unless of course you still think the item a steal since repairs are not too much of a hassle.
5. Get ready to repair stuff. These items are not brand-new, and will show signs of wear and tear. Get ready to have these items repaired or cleaned up a bit so that they will be immediately usable.
