International Wildlife Film FestivalWith the hopes to promote the international awareness, knowledge and understanding of wildlife, environment, people and nature, the International Wildlife Media Center has come up with a film festival called the "International Wildlife Film Festival". The International Wildlife Media Center was founded in the late seventies in Missoula, Montana as the International Wildlife Film Festival. The said wildlife film festival was the first ever film festival in the world that features the wildlife of the planet. The International Wildlife Film Festival is a yearly event wherein films and film making in/about
wildlife are the main focus. The International Wildlife Film Festival showcases public film screenings, by which the audiences get to chance to interact with the film makers, have conversations with the top conversationalists of the world, hands-on classes and workshops, retreats, explorations and other educational and entertaining activities, poster art contests and last but not the least, a gathering that is sponsored by the "National Geographic Television and Film". Professional film makers, producers, broadcasters and world renowned film makers from all over the world gather in the International Wildlife Film Festival. Emerging, amateur and student film makers are also included in the International Wildlife Film Festival. Aside from the International Wildlife Film Festival, another wildlife film festival has emerged with the aid of the International Wildlife Media Center called the "Montana CINE (Cultures and Issues of Nature and Environment) Film Festival". The Montana CINE Film Festival is a film festival that features the cultural and environmental films which explores and commemorate the cultural and environmental aspects that affect the world we live in. The films that are featured in the Montana CINE Film Festival are the dealings of human relationships to the natural world. The Montana CINE Film Festival, similar to the International Wildlife Film Festival, is a yearly event celebration that is held every fall. It showcases award winning films, seminars, receptions and workshops. The main theme in Montana CINE Film Festival is broad, which features topics and issues regarding the exploration of the human experience and their relationship with Mother Nature. The Montana CINE Film Festival also features films that focus on the cultures, outdoor recreations, conservations, agriculture and the effects of war on the environment. The Montana CINE Film Festival has three main awards - "Focus", "Hands Around the World" and the "Golden CINE for Best of Festival". Amateurs and professional film makers alike can participate in the said film festival. The International Wildlife Media Center which has a center of operations in Roxy Theatre, Missoula, Montana, hosts the two said film festivals.
