Live Blood Cell Analysis - Cell Detailing

It is a very common phenomenon to take blood samples and study these samples. They are a treasure of information and reveal the status of health of the individual. Blood sample analysis is very important from the point of view of medical studies.

What do the Studies Reveal?

Blood analysis can be done be a few standard and specific means. Normally, a small drop of blood is taken from the tip of the finger, placed it on a slide and watch
the slide under the microscope. However, this method involves only a basic study of the blood sample. Dark field microscopy reveals a lot more than the normal microscopic method. A detailed and microscopic observation reveals several interesting aspects of the blood cells in the human body. The blood cells include red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. The red blood cells or erythrocytes are round and separated and they are transported smoothly through the capillaries. The standard size of a normal and healthy red blood cell is 7.2 microns.

Red and white blood cells tell a lot when they are observed very closely under the lens. The cells reveal to a great extent the state of metabolism of the individual. The blood cell analysis can give accurate information of the liver. Study of the white blood cells gives a great picture of the immune system of the body and the level of resistance of the individual. In fact the analysis can also be useful to observe the pattern of microbes and whether the microbes can be resisted in the proper way by the body's resistance power. It also reveals whether the body is able to defend the germs successfully. Blood cell analysis is certainly a study of the individual's health, vitality and resilience.

A detailed study of the blood cells has also shown that red blood cells join together in round stacks wherever they get space. The cells perform this action in order to lessen the viscosity of the blood. This also protects the red blood cells as the cells travel in a straight line. The walls of the red blood cells are known to unravel very much like a knitted jersey.

Blood cell analysis reveals a lot more information. Blood samples are regularly taken to confirm the presence of any harmful germs, microbes or parasites. The testing reveals the exact picture.

Blood Cell Morphology- The basic structure of the cells.
There are two types of blood cells present in a human body. They are the red blood cells and the white blood cells. The red blood cells are the most common cells present in the body and are circular and fairly uniform in size. The white blood cells...

Low Red Blood Cell Count- A dangerous condition
The red blood cells are the most common type of cells. They are also called as RBC's or enthrocytes. They are the principal means of delivering oxygen from lungs to the tissues. A single drop of blood contains millions of red blood cells. If they...

Cord Blood And Stem Cell Preservation-The basics.
What is cord blood and stem cells? Umbilical Cord blood is the blood taken from the umbilical cord and placenta at the time of birth. This blood is rich in a variety of haematopoietic stem cells. Stem cells are non-differentiated, immature...

High Red Blood Cell count- Even More of R.B.C. could be a trouble!
An overview: The normal volumes of the count vary according to the age, sex, and elevation above sea level and the type of blood group. For men it is 4.6 -6.2 millions RBCs in per microlitre, for women it is 4.4-5.4 millions per micro liter....

Blood Cell Maturation- The basic process carried out in our body
Basic structure of a cell: - The cell is a basic microscopic unit of our body. Visible only by a microscope, various parts of the cell can be seen and analyzed. A cell consists of basic elements like nucleus, cytoplasm, cytoplasmic inclusions...
