It also offers ten days of world premieres, special events, feature films, short films, documentaries, panels and seminars. every year. The Palm Beach International Film Festival is the only non profit film festival competition in the United States that contributes all of its net proceeds to a worthy high school and junior college and statewide university film school students.
The Palm Beach International Film Festival was established in 1996 by local business and civic leaders of Palm Beach, Florida who agreed that by hosting yearly film festival in their community, it would provide great opportunities to their community by presenting film makers their local resources and the film festival would also bring lots of charity to the film and television education industry. The Palm Beach International Film Festival has been observed since the year 1993 but was officially opened on 1996. By the year 1999, the Palm Beach International Film Festival has distributed more than 90,000 dollars of grants and scholarships. The Palm Beach International Film Festival has just recently introduced a juried competition on 2003; and by at the same year, the Palm Beach International Film Festival joined the ranks of top film festival of the world, like the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival and Venice Film Festival.
The Palm Beach International Film Festival has been listed as one of the top 25 film festivals all over the globe, and has enjoying significant success in the film festival industry. The Palm Beach International Film Festival in dedicated in helping the young generation in fulfilling their ambitions in the film industry. Each year the Palm Beach International Film Festival contributes to the development of the Palm Beach County Schools by giving out grants and scholarships.
